Does Foreceipt work with QuickBooks Online?

Foreceipt lists a QuickBooks integration, but only on its Business plan. Free and Individual do not include it. That matters if a client bought the cheaper plan expecting receipts to land in the ledger.

For a bookkeeper the harder question is what happens after the receipt is in Foreceipt. You still need each one coded to the right account, class and customer in that client's QBO company and tied to the bank transaction already sitting in the feed. Test one week of a client's real receipts and count the steps a person performs.

How much does Foreceipt cost?

The Foreceipt pricing page shows a Free plan at $0 with up to 100 receipts kept for 12 months, an Individual plan at $5 or $6.25 a month with 200 receipts a month, and a Business plan at $12 or $15 a month with unlimited receipts and QuickBooks. The page does not label which rate is yearly and which is monthly, so confirm before you pay. Business includes 2 members, and extra members cost $72 a year each.

Payments are non-refundable once processed, according to the page. Third-party listings show older numbers, including lifetime deals, so use the vendor page.

Every client company has its own address. Forwarded emails, uploads, Gmail and client links land in one queue.

What is the best Foreceipt alternative for QuickBooks Online?

ReceiptQBO is the best Foreceipt alternative for QuickBooks Online bookkeepers who want receipts posted into the ledger rather than kept in a tracker. It reads each receipt, codes it from the connected company's own accounts, classes, locations and customers, and looks for the matching bank or card transaction before posting.

A matched receipt attaches to that transaction. An unmatched one creates an Expense or Bill with the image. Vendor rules override the AI, and a shared review queue shows uncertain fields to a Reviewer across all client companies. Missing-receipt reminders go to the client weekly on Bookkeeper and Firm. See how to match receipts to bank transactions for the matching steps.

Who should stay on Foreceipt?

Stay on Foreceipt if you run one small business, you want a cheap phone app with tax tracking and mileage-style categories, and a PDF or Excel report is enough for your accountant. At $12 to $15 a month for Business it costs less than any ReceiptQBO plan.

ReceiptQBO does not offer a native mobile app. Each client gets a no-login upload link that works in a phone browser, a forwarding address and a Gmail forwarding option. It supports QuickBooks Online only, with no QuickBooks Desktop and no Xero.

Each receipt is coded to the client's own QuickBooks Online account, class, location and project.

How do yearly costs compare?

For one business, Foreceipt Business at $12 to $15 a month is roughly $144 to $180 a year. ReceiptQBO Company on yearly billing costs $24 x 12 = $288 a year for up to 5 team members and 300 documents a month. Foreceipt is the cheaper subscription.

For a practice, a flat plan changes the picture. ReceiptQBO Bookkeeper on yearly billing costs $149 x 12 = $1,788 a year for up to 25 client companies and 2,500 pooled documents a month, with one review queue. Count the hours spent coding exports into each client's QBO company and chasing missing receipts, not just the subscription.
