Terms of service

Last updated October 11, 2026

These terms govern your use of ReceiptQBO at receiptqbo.com, provided by the administrator of the receiptqbo.com service (contact: [email protected]). By creating an account or using the service you accept them.

The service

ReceiptQBO reads receipts and bills, proposes coding for QuickBooks Online, matches documents to bank transactions, checks for duplicates and, when you or your rules approve, posts entries to QuickBooks Online companies you connect. QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online are trademarks of Intuit Inc. ReceiptQBO is an independent product and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Intuit.

Accounts

You must give a working email address and keep your password safe. The account owner is responsible for the people invited to the practice and the roles given to them. You must have authority to upload a client's documents and to connect a client's QuickBooks Online company.

Demo

The demo on the home page reads one receipt without an account, and a new account gets one more demo read. Demo results are watermarked, are not posted to QuickBooks, and demo files are deleted within 24 hours. The demo is not a plan and does not renew.

Plans, billing and changes

  • Plans are subscriptions billed monthly or yearly in advance in US dollars, and renew automatically until cancelled.
  • Each plan includes a number of documents per billing period. Documents are counted when they are read, and deleting a document does not restore the count. Documents over the limit wait until the next period or an upgrade.
  • Upgrading charges the price difference for the rest of the current period immediately. Downgrading applies a credit to the next invoice. Payments are not refunded to the card except where the law requires.
  • You can cancel in the billing portal at any time. Access continues until the end of the paid period.
  • One active subscription is allowed per practice. Prices may change for future periods with at least 30 days notice.

Your data

You keep all rights to your documents and accounting data. You give us permission to process them only to provide the service, as described in the privacy policy. You can export your documents and audit log and delete them at any time.

AI results and your responsibility

Extraction and coding are produced by automated systems and can be wrong. Confidence scores and thresholds help, but you remain responsible for reviewing entries, for the books you keep and for tax filings. Do not set a client's threshold lower than your review policy allows.

Acceptable use

Do not upload unlawful content, malware or documents you have no right to process, do not attempt to break the service's security or limits, and do not resell the service without written permission.

Availability and liability

We work to keep the service available and data safe but provide it as is. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Ending the agreement

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms or fail to pay, after notice where possible.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms and will tell account owners by email before material changes apply. Questions go to [email protected].
